CAM News & Updates
President's Message

Happy New Year! Well at least, post Labour Day always seems like the start of a new year, doesn’t it?

Tomorrow, is the very last day you can register for the 22nd Annual Golf Day on September 14th at Lionhead Golf Club in Brampton, Ontario. We’ve had a terrific response to date. Did you know that you don’t actually have to golf? Come out and hang with me at my hole for the afternoon or come for dinner. Lots of folks are doing just that. And don’t think it’s going to be all professional golfers. Think about it … it’s movers golfing!

There are going to be lots of activities on the holes and prizes, so come out and enjoy an afternoon on the links. See details below. And if you are interested in putting swag into the golfers’ gift bags or providing prizes, get in touch with me … it’s never too late for that!

Movers have just finished their busy season and now CAM is about to enter into its busy season. All of our committees are ramping up again and preparing action plans for the next year. We’re not only putting the final touches on this year’s conference in Niagara Falls (early bird registration is closing on September 14th!), but we’ve already begun planning next year’s 50th Anniversary conference. So, as you are all letting your belts out a bit, sitting down and relaxing after a crazy summer season, we’re tightening ours and getting to it!

CAM survey

If you are located in Canada, CAM has a question for you. Would you attend an off-season one-day CAM meeting in a region near you? It wouldn’t have to be terribly formal, in fact, it would be quite casual, but would give us an opportunity to get together in your ‘hood and talk about regional issues and things that matter to you.

Please take a few minutes and answer a couple of questions in our survey. Answer honestly please. The answers you provide will help the Board and Executive of CAM to decide in November whether or not there is a desire for regional get-togethers.
