Bill 109 Proposes Strict Rules for Elevator Professionals
A new private members bill is gaining traction on Parliament Hill that, if passed, will hold elevator contractors more liable for the state of elevator repairs. Introduced by Trinity-Spadina MPP Han Dong on March 22, 2017, Bill 109, the Reliable Elevator Act, puts forward multiple amendments to the Building Code Act (1992) and Consumer Protection Act (2002).
