P&G Professional has teamed up with hotel search engine trivago to determine what impact cleanliness has on a guest's willingness to write a positive online review. Data illustrates 61 per cent (of customers read online reviews before making e-commerce purchasing decision, which in practice means it's likely the very first impression a prospective guest has of a hotel is the opinion of a previous guest.

Water-cleaning chemical made ‘on-demand’

Scientists in Cardiff, working with colleagues in America, have come up with a way of producing hydrogen peroxide which is used to clean water supplies. Over four million tonnes of it are produced by industry each year, mostly using a large, multi-step process, which requires highly concentrated solutions to be transported before dilution at the point of use.

The TTC wants to “put this issue to bed.” In the wake of a rider posting a photo on Reddit claiming a bedbug crawled on their glove as they rode the 501 Queen streetcar, TTC spokesman Brad Ross stressed the pests can’t ride the Rocket for long.
