Member Profile - Rick Nickelchok, Chair Networking Committee, Member Content Committee
CSAE-BC

Rick-Nickelchok_CSAE BC_10082017.PNGMy passion for volunteering with the CSAE family and the Not-For-Profit (NFP) community comes from my 30+ years of experience in organization leadership employed in amateur sport, health, and academic sectors. My broader knowledge of the NFP sector comes from being intimately engaged in association leadership positions at the national, provincial and local levels, in both staff and volunteer capacities.

Recently, I have ventured over to the “spark” side (as in, to ignite the fire) of association management with the launch of my own consulting firm called Board Matters Consulting (BMC). I know that associations face organizational challenges and I believe that with a focus on best practices, an in-depth understanding the situation and through building personal relationships these challenges can be solved.

ASSOCIATIONS NOW

These days it feels like nearly everyone is using the internet for nearly everything. A recent WBT Systems post suggests that associations can help members bridge the digital readiness gap, in part because organizations invest a lot of time and money to provide online learning resources.
